Come ready to sweat and learn! We use a combination of body weight movements, free weights, TRX suspension trainers, resistance bands, and more for a full body workout. We focus on mindful movement, and proper technique so what we do in the gym makes us prepared for our lives and activities outside of the gym. Exercises can be adjusted to a varying level of difficulty, however a basic understanding of the fundamentals is encouraged. Barre is a super fun group fitness class inspired by ballet but it often incorporates movements from Pilates, strength training, and yoga. The ballet barre is used as a prop for support and balance as students practice small, high-repetition movements. Other props may be incorporated as well to deepen the burn. At Studium Fitness we use small weights (3 and 5lbs), sliders, resistance bands, balls, and stretchy straps. Each teacher offers her own spin on the style and class is always set to fun music. Barre is very accessible and great for beginners!
