Great for all levels, including beginners. Slow down the flow and move with intention. This class is meant to wring out the tensions from the day and prepare you for a good night sleep. Expect a slower paced practice followed by a long cool down before Savasana. Calming breathwork and meditation may be included. A daily theme is provided to deepen the body-mind-spirit connection. Align & Flow Yoga
All levels welcome! Expect to move, breathe, and sweat! This energetic yoga practice encourages each student to find their own rhythmic breath and reconnect to their sense of aliveness while refining effective body alignment. Gentler modifications are offered as well as more challenging variations for those who crave a little fire. Based on sun salutations and deep holds, postures are linked with the breath and a strong focus is made to bring awareness to the body-mind-spirit connection. This class is for absolute beginners and those wanting to refine their understanding of foundational yoga postures. Each class will break down the basic alignment of the most common yoga postures, offer instruction on mindful breathing, and include helpful information on yoga history and etiquette. Each of us comes to the mat with a different body and body history so Ashley will discuss how to modify the group practice to suit your individual needs. ALL body types will be welcome and celebrated!
Barre is a super fun group fitness class inspired by ballet but it often incorporates movements from Pilates, strength training, and yoga. The ballet barre is used as a prop for support and balance as students practice small, high-repetition movements. Other props may be incorporated as well to deepen the burn. At Studium Fitness we use small weights (3 and 5lbs), sliders, resistance bands, balls, and stretchy straps. Each teacher offers her own spin on the style and class is always set to fun music. Barre is very accessible and great for beginners!
